The Student Travel Advisory Committee considers requests from students for travel funds in support of 1) a domestic elective or clerkship in which a student may pursue an unusual educational opportunity that may not be available at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, 2) attendance at a national or regional meeting of a School of Medicine recognized student organization, or 3) presentation of research at a national or regional meeting. The Committee recommends to the Dean whether these requests should be approved. The committee usually funds student travel only in part, and encourages students to solicit additional funding elsewhere.
