Summer Research Scholars Program - SRSP
The School of Medicine offers a number of summer research stipends to incoming first year and rising second year medical students. These stipends, which are currently $3,000 for the 10-week summer program, provide experience in basic science or clinical research by direct participation in the research of a faculty member. Students present the results of their research at the Student Research Day during the fall semester. The SRSP students also enroll in the one-hour "Bench to Bedside" course which introduces students to the intellectual challenges and rewards of clinical research.
