Unit Lab Advocate Program
Several upper class student
advocates are assigned to each unit lab.
Advocates provide support during orientation and throughout the year in
many ways by offering encouragement and assistance. They may offer advice on book selection, study techniques, time
management, summer opportunities, board preparation, track selection, etc. Perhaps
their most important function is helping develop and maintain positive morale and
cohesiveness by decorating the unit labs and planning social activities,
including potlucks, picnics, birthday and holiday celebrations, etc. and
providing study day/test day snacks or lunches.
Advocates’ expenditures are pre-approved
to ensure reimbursement.
Students interested in serving as advocates should contact Carolyn Childress, Suite 210 of the A Buiding, 852-3267.
